Quinta Casa Do Quintal

The Quinta is overlooking the valley with beautiful terraced vineyards and fruit trees. Our room was spacious, beautifully furnished, super clean and with a very comfortable big bed. It's great having a coffee maker in the room. The bathroom is modern and kitted with toiletry products. Fernando welcomed us with a glass of vintage port on arrival and gave us recommendations for places to visit. The breakfast was delicious.

Foremost super friendly and helpful host. Fernando went out of his way to get us a dinner reservation in Lamego and to book us a vineyard tour. Our room was spacious and well appointed and view onto the valley in Regua was stunning.

Room was clean and had all amenities. The host was very welcoming, especially accommodating as we checked in late. We particularly enjoyed the porto wine he gave us to sample and that he made himself. We also appreciated the care put into the copious breakfast that was prepared with care and that included cherries from the garden. Room and bed were comfortable. The place has a gorgeous view of the valley and surrounding vineyards. We really enjoyed this place and highly recommend.

Beautiful views , Rooms are very comfortable, beautifully furnished. Owner is extremely attentive. If again in this area, I would book again in a heartbeat.

Nice modern clean room and lovely bathroom.

No restaurants nearby. No sink in the kitchen nor microwave as indicated in description.. Owner very quick to bring us cups and plates.and hot water for tea. He was very willing to make our stay comfortable.

We completely enjoyed Quinta Casa Do Quintal during our entire four day stay. Host Fernando is exceptional going far beyond expectations such as recommending restaurants for dinner, making the reservations and driving us to and from the restaurant. For two evenings we wanted to stay at the premises instead of dining out. Fernando graciously arranged a fine take out meal from a local restaurant of soup,chicken, fish and roast potatoes, We enjoyed the meal so much we repeated it the next evening. Breakfasts were fine with high quality ingredients including biologic eggs from his own hens. The room was brand new, very clean with luxurious en suite bathroom and shower. The location was perfect for those wishing to visit the beautiful town of Lamego and the very close Regua as the gateway to the whole Douro River Valley. Last but not least, Quinta Casa Do Quintal makes it own fantastic Porto and Fernando happily shared samples of their vintage Porto wines all the way up to 49 years vintage. We were able to purchase a bottle of the 49 year old Porto which will always bring back happy memories of our visit. We have no hesitation recommeding Quinta Casa Do Quintal to all travelers looking for quality location, quality premises, quality hospitality and above all the friendliness of Fernando.

Marque was very nice and offered to park the car inside the house for us when he saw us struggle to do a reverse parking. Helping with luggage, offering beautiful port wine from his personal cellar, showing us around his vineyard, fresh persimmon, tomatoes, bread and jam are icing on cake.
