Tra Lago e Montagna Baita la Morena

One of the best trips we’ve ever been on. The Lake is incredible, and Claudio’s place was the perfect base to explore the area. From the moment we arrived, we were so well looked after. The unforgettable ride to the chalet on the monorail, the stunning view of the lake, and the constant help and guidance from Claudio made it a wonderful stay. On our last day, when our kids were unwell, he even took us to the pharmacy to help get some medicine before we set off for the next leg of our holiday. The perfect host and the perfect stay.

El alojamiento tenía unas vistas increíbles al lago, se respiraba tranquilidad. El propietario (Claudio) fue una persona muy servicial y cercana con nosotros, no nos faltó de nada.

La accesibilidad era algo complicada, teniendo que andar unos 15 minutos hasta la casa a excepción del primer y último día que Claudio (el propietario) nos acercó abajo. La casa estaba limpia pero el hecho de que hubiese grietas daba pie a que saliese algún insecto por la noche. Pero es comprensible al estar ubicada en mitad del monte.

The stay was incredible. The chalet is in a beautiful location with a stunning view of the lake. There are hiking trails starting just outside the door. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They made us some amazing food. Best salami we ever had 😆 We ended up not wanting to leave.

It is a picturesque place with an astonishing Lake view. The host, Claudio, is very supportive and nice! I highly recommend this place for you to stay. Also, the walking path to the property takes around 13-15 minutes. The path itself has several excellent viewpoints and is well-lighted during the dark.

Nothing

This stay is an experience! Like staying with family, made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Claudio and Nadia went above and beyond for us, even taking us to get groceries and nothing was ever too much trouble. They were so kind and patient with the language barrier and we managed with Google translate. The location is unbeatable with a true sense of being away from the crowds and the perfect place to relax. The views are incredible. There were enough facilities for us to make breakfast every morning (microwave, toaster, fridge) and the chalet was spotless. Shower was the best of all the places we stayed in Italy. Wifi was also good enough for us to stream films every night! As others have said it is a steep walk up and down but we were prepared for it. And the monorail...like nothing we have done before. Embrace it and enjoy the ride!

We relied on public transport to get around the lake and one day the bus didn't stop at the chalet, which made for a long walk back! Would recommend driving for ease although it is perfectly doable with the local transport links.

The path to the chalet takes 15 minutes, I would say this was the main disadvantage, after walking all day, climbing the mountain was very uncomfortable. The sofa is not very good for sleeping.

The view was spectacular. The floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides, fantastic.

We are a couple in our 70's and 80's and quite fit. The accommodation was about 300 metres straight up a very steep hill, by any standards. The owner had a type of conveyance called a Mon rail. It carried 2 people plus driver....straight up....and straight down....... I loved it, however some may be a little overawed! You could also walk, quite challenging. Then on reaching street level, there was a 2km walk to the coffee shop on a narrow road, in some places one way, and no footpath. Then return, and up that hill, in 34deg. We had a great time, and our host Claudio was very welcoming. We loved his donkeys and cat and the whole feel of the place. It may just be a little daunting for some.
