Z Ranch

Secluded with beautiful view of vineyard. Not too far of a drive from town where we could get local meat and produce. Enjoyed seeing the animals around the farm as well

I DID NOT EVEN STAY AT THE PROPERTY. I didn’t find the waiver or key to the studio. I place a phone call with no answer. Finally when I was already driving away, a lady called me, but then I was already frustrated and left. I asked for partial refund with no avail.

The stay in the "bunkhouse" was really comfortable. I was greeted by 2 cool dogs. I loved the bathroom, the rocking chair was so comfy, and the fridge, coffee maker and toaster oven really classic. The Llamas made me smile and the ostrich made me laugh. The rooster crowing at the break of dawn is a keeper. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.

Although I loved the shower, being an older person, I was kind of afraid to climb in.

I like the Ranch and the animals. It was peaceful and it had a beautiful view. I enjoyed staying at Bar Z ranch.

We’ve been lucky enough to stay at Z Ranch multiple times now, and it’s become a favorite for our whole family. My kids absolutely love it there—between the animals, open space, and freedom to explore, it’s a dream for them. For me, it’s all about the peaceful setting, beautiful views, and that perfect warm Templeton weather. Alice and her family are truly the best hosts—so kind, welcoming, and attentive. Every visit feels like a return to something special. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking to unplug and recharge in a serene, stunning place.

The farm is a gem on the drive up from LA to Bay area. Our kids are starved for animals and the great white dog Sebastian, the ornery goose, busy chickens, pretty horses and llamas and ostrich etc quickly became their best friends. The farm caretaker Eddie was full of stories and knowledge about the animals, and the owners were lovely and welcoming as well.

Loved everything about the place, the only thing the bunk bed in the kids room could use a little TLC as a few of the planks are loose and my kid sleeping below could wiggle one out.

Location was great. Very peacefull.

No complaints whatsoever.
