Gecko Rock Private Nature Reserve

We loved the quiet surroundings, beds were comfortable, clean linen, enough towels - even extra!, shower very nice - even with a view! Always had hot water, hot tub was nice if you know how to maintain heat....... Lovely big fridge and freezer to store all your goodies. House is beautifully decorated and very clean

Directions could have been more thorough, didn't know that we had no wifi in the cottage, were not happy when we saw that one bed is in the kitchen/lounge and another bed is in a wendy house next to it, no keys to lock both houses, cannot use hairdryer but we managed :), had a really big problem with bees at the hot tub, couldn't use for most of daytime as bees were very aggressive. Would love to have directions on how to use the oven and hot tub to manage water, water gets way too hot very easily. But overall we had a good experience of just chilling, make sure you bring enough books, games etc to keep you busy. Bought stuff at the shop - quite expensive

Hidden in nature, rustic charm with incredible views. Loved the hot tub! No signal so you can completely switch off from the world - absolute BLISS!! Can't wait to get back there.....

No wifi at the cabin. They didnt mention anything about in the description before booking

It was absolutely fabulous experience. All cabins in this private reserve are thoughtfully situated between the hills, so you see neither other houses nor any lights over the weld - just stars at night. Excellent well equipped houses. Landscape is gorgeous, and my daughter walking around met a few antelopes coming up the hill.

No complaints whatsoever

Amazing place, I can't begin to describe it. The view is amazing, the accommodation is perfect (fully equipped, comfortable). It really is the perfect secluded place to chill and enjoy nature and discover South Africa. The people are kind and accommodating. I will definitely stay there again, but this time for a few days!

When we arrived at the main building nobody was available to guide us or indicate where we could have a picnic while waiting for the room. It was a little bit uncomfortable with the kids, but there was a big event on that day, I'm sure usually things go smoothly and it was worth the wait:).

The fact that there is no signal or tv. Perfect to relax and recharge with your partner. Hot tub was amazing and been in nature with no one around us was tranquil and peaceful.

Only the couch in the living room, at the end of the night we were on the floor.

The view is incredible! The privacy was absolute and the silence something to behold. It's an incredible piece of land with lovely vistas. The bed is very comfortable, the shower is big and the self catering amenities were well stocked and covered everything you might need.

Unfortunately the wood we bought there was wet and it was quite a chore to get both the braai and the hottub going. Also the couch in the lounge is very uncomfortable to sit on.
