The Farmstead

It is very peaceful with lovely views.

There were a couple of things that were not great. While the bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable, it sits on wooden pallets. The bedroom is small so I kept knocking my shins on the on the exposed wooden corners. We were lucky enough to have lovely weather so the outside bathroom was fun to use. If the weather is not great, that bathroom becomes redundant (4 adults x 1 bathroom). There were gaps in the fencing where the shower was and we felt people could see us showering. The inside bathroom is not fully closed off at the top so very little privacy if one was using the toilet. When sitting outside at night, the blinds in the inside bathroom give no privacy at all. If the bathroom light is on, the people sitting outside have a clear view even when the blinds were down. These types of blinds work well in the day time but are not great at night. The walls of the cottages are very thin so we clearly heard the noise from the very young kids next door. Lastly the path leading to the cottages has no nighttime lights. This is not good if you don’t have your cellphone torch to navigate your way down the path.

Great location and admirable sustainable concept. Staff were friendly.

Black mold on two of the pillows and all over the shower. No proper ventilation. No privacy in inside bathroom. Staff entering the accommodation without knocking or announcing themselves. Staff not very accessible. Accommodation was not very clean.

The location is perfect, the view is stunning and the place is very quiet and relaxing.

We did struggle with the hot water for 3 days, but they definitely did pay attention to it.

The blinds are see-through, so if you're with family and they’re outside at the braai area, there's no privacy when using the toilets or showers—they can see inside. Additionally, the kitchen isn't fully equipped, as some items are missing, like a spatula and small plates.
