"Lovely Surprise"

Our stay at Casa do Salgueiral was the perfect weekend getaway. The property is fascinating, with all the luxuries we were hoping for to facilitate some nice relaxation. The owners are super friendly and exemplify the true meaning of Portuguese hospitality.

Everything was perfect. We truly cannot identify anything that was out of order or not to our liking.

"A perfect location for a relaxing break."

This was by far the best location we have stayed in for a long time, not just in Portugal, but anywhere. The family who own and run the Casa are so welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay exceptional, from providing wonderful breakfasts to your door through to great local recommendations for visits or restaurants. The accommodation is very comfortable and well appointed and finished to a high standard. There is also a swimming pool with great amenities. If you stay, you must try the wine they produce. We will definitely be coming back.

The property's location is amazing - in the heart of the Douro Valley vineyard region, with astonishing views and calmness. The sophisticated and cozy villa made us feel very special. The hosts - Jose and Helena, were amazing in their effort to make our stay special. The wine, the atmosphere, the views, the rooms, the furniture - everything was made with a taste for people able to appreciate high-quality vacation properties and wine experiences. It is extremely friendly for people with kids, especially with the pool with amazing views.

There's literally nothing I could say we did not like. Everything was 100% match with our taste.
