Traditional farmhouse in its own vineyard, been in the same family for four generations. José and Elaine were warm and friendly hosts. The breakfast was delicious and generous. The views were stunning and it’s such a tranquil place, to sit on the terrace or take a dip in the swimming pool. Two days was too little time and we would love to return soon!

Absolutely stunning! The views are incredible. The little chapel on the grounds was magical. The pool was a lovely temperature and set up wonderfully - there were even drinks you could help yourself to and pay for later, much appreciated on a hot day! The apartment was well appointed. The breakfast basket was wonderful - very generous with everything included you could want (orange juice, coffee, fresh and hot bread and croissant, muffins, meats, cheese, chutney). The host was very welcoming and shared the history of the property, which was very interesting. Would highly recommend! We will be back.

Absolutely perfect traditional B&B. The room was adorable and the bed was luxurious. Serious the bed was incredibly comfortable, from the soft linens, high quality mattress, duvet, pillows, perfection. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The property is gorgeous, on a vineyard with views over the town and valley. I loved lounging up at the pool. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Nothing negative but something to consider is that the roads up the the property and even entering the property are very narrow and can be difficult. Best to have a smaller vehicle with ground clearance. But once you're up there you have free private secure parking right in front of the building.

We loved the whole experience of staying at this property. Jose & Elaine are excellent hosts.

Beautiful property, delicious breakfast

Loved everything!

This was my favorite place we stayed during our time in Portugal! It’s a lovely property with so much charm! The breakfast was outstanding and we enjoyed a glass of their vinho tinto on the balcony in the evening. Just a few minutes’ drive to the main town for dinner. The views from the property and room are amazing and the owners are very nice. It’s so fun to see all the antiques around the house. What an amazing place to stay!

A charming Inn with a view of the Douro valley. The property was impeccable and the owners were very nice. The breakfast was excellent. Would definitely go back.

Unbelievable location and stay - recommend booing for 3 nights - one of the few places which felt like home ( during a holiday) and we were taken really good care of. Without saying too much , I think when in Duoro - this is the right option to stay.

Absolutely nothing - Everything was more than perfect .

The property was idyllic. It was so peaceful and the whole property was gorgeous! The room was comfortable, they were so helpful with advice of things to do around the area, and the views were amazing.

Be sure to plan ahead about food! They offer to order you food from the village restaurants and, depending on when you arrive, that might be a good idea. We didn't do that and when we arrived around 3:00 pm, there wasn't anywhere open in the village to eat.
