Casa do Salgueiral

Our stay with Josè and Elaine was outstanding. They are warm and caring hosts who are always ready to help. And you can also feel that in the accommodation. Everything is lovingly decorated, the pool is a wonderful place to relax and the view over the vineyards is fantastic. The breakfast was delicious, especially Elaine's homemade muffins and the figs from the farm tasted heavenly. It was also nice that we got to chat to so many lovely people over breakfast and dinner, which can be delivered to the accommodation by restaurants on request. If we travel to the Douro Valley again, we will definitely come back. Thank you for being such great hosts. And I would also love the recipe for Elaine's mango mousse. 🙏 Best regards and hope to see you soon, Amelie and Leo.

Bezaubernd schöne Unterkunft! Ruhig, in den Weinbergen gelegen. Das Frühstück von der Hausherrin gemacht, war jeden Morgen ein Genuss. Alles ausgewählt und mit Bedacht auf Details eingerichtet. Alles zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. Wir können Casa do Salgueiral mit ihren freundlichen Besitzern sehr empfehlen.

Beautiful restored grand house located in a very relaxing landscape. Very attentive and kind hosts. Wish we had booked a longer stay.

Local extremamente sossegado. O pequeno-almoço foi entregue num cesto, à porta do apartamento, e estava delicioso. A funcionária e os anfitriões são bastante simpáticos e prestáveis :)

Amazing place with a superb view. Rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning every room. Breakfast was delivered in a basket, and it was tasteful every morning. Their wines were good, we liked especially the white one. The pool area had a super view to the valley. Everything was just perfect.

We came in a bit later at the evening and first time it was a bit harder to find the way in with car. After the first time it was easy to come in.
