Desert Wind Private Guest and Game Farm

The most beautiful little cottage in a remote area of the farm. Complete silence except for the wind and birds. The cottage is beautifully furnished and has everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub has a beautiful view and a bonus was that Alicia lit it a while before we arrived, so it was almost ready. We would have liked another day or two to explore more of the farm. Two nights were just too short.

The kitchen was well equipped. We liked the braai facilities and the view was magnificent.

We were too close to the neighbours. We could hear every word they spoke especially when we were in the jacuzzi(kol kol) or on the stoep. We suggest that you rent out Springbok and the next door apartment as a family unit. The game drive was also a disappointment. No ordinary car can drive there.

Kliphuis at Desert Wind is a rare find. The property was extremely well equipped. Can’t say enough great things about the host. Alicia was so friendly and welcoming, she even came to check up on us since we were so secluded just to make sure we were still okay. The seclusion is real, no network, no internet. Being in nature, the hot tub overlooking the riverbed plus the amazing views was priceless.

The rooms were unfortunately too close to each other so not much privacy.

Beautiful scenery and great night sky! Everyone on the farm as super friendly and helpful. Large and comfy rooms!
