"Beautiful farm with a vintage feel."

Beautiful location. Friendly host. Comfortable beds. Pet friendly.

Beer bottles in the window (Not sure if it is supposed to be decor or if it was left by previous guests). Poor Wifi signal.

The tranquility. So much more than expected. The dirt road leading to the farm is well kept. The houses are neat and clean and comfortable. If you need to recharge, to get away from everything Waterval farmstay is the place to go.

The hosts and the fact that it is pet friendly.

The distance to travel from town, the old furniture and decor in the unit that we stayed in. This may be quaint for some, but for us it felt a bit creepy to such an extent that we refused to sleep in the main bedroom but rather slept in the single beds in the 'voorkamer'. The braai facilities for the unit were also a bit awkward. There may be better units, the one we got was a disappointment.
