Oscar Hotel

Best thing about Oscar hotel was Alex the bartender! Although the hotel was mid I would give Alex 5 stars! He made great drinks and was nice to chat to. If your staying at Oscar hotel ask him to make you the disorano cocktail it's to die for. Overall the hotel was slightly dated but clean. The staff were kind and helpful and the pool and bar were super.

The rooms are clean and tidy, bed very uncomfortable, pillows very hard. To be warned air con is 10 euros a day, internet very patchy and can only get good WiFi if outside of your room. No evening entertainment sounds like the same cd on repeat. Good minibus service down to the seafront.

A friendly well run hotel. Regarding previous review the mains water in Zante has a high mineral content which would make if appear salty. The room tax is set by the government not the hotel in Greece. The rooms are basic with sink, kettle and under counter fridge. Shower better than average Greek (square in floor) it’s in a small bath. Housekeeping is exceptional sheets and towels changed often and room serviced daily. Special mention to Anna from breakfast with Greta to the pool bar for the day shift. Anna is genuinely friendly and goes above and beyond in her care for all her customers, come rain or hail!! Also shout out to Alex for the evening shift. The grounds and pool area is well maintained by Victor and Co. The mini bus to beach is great as it’s a long walk in the heat approx 45mins

The food was terrible got breakfast once and it did not taste nice at all, ended up skipping it completely. They make you pay for aircon which was 10 euro per night which was quite expensive and also 7.50 euro each for tourist tax. Out of all the staff there was only one nice lady who actually seemed happy to help, however the rest of the staff just seemed like they couldn’t really be bothered to like we was just bugging them when we asked something. There was this one specific staff member who would bang on our hotel door having a go at us, rudely telling us to shhh, we understand he has a job to do but not when he is speaking to us so RUDELY. The WiFi does not work whatsoever had to use 4g the whole time and only works in the lobby and the shower was salty. The room itself was good and was quite spacious and cleaners came every morning, the pool was also okay but we got a rash on our faces after swimming and tried to avoid it after that. It’s about a 30-40 minute walk to the strip or 10 euros for a taxi each way so luckily we had our own transportation, they also have a free bus which comes about 4 times a day and the last one is at 3pm. Overall I would not stay here again, but recommend to anyone who does stay here to only get the room and not bother with food, there’s shops round the corner which are about a 5 minute walk with more and cheaper options.

Me and my friend stayed here for a week and we wasn’t 100% happy with it, you have to pay for the aircon which was €75, when the cleaners came they would just walk in then leave the door open which we found rude and the hotel room got covered in ants and the shower was salt water so we couldn’t shower feeling clean so you do just get your moneys worth, we was also told it’s a 15 minute walk to the strip but it took us 1 hour on the first night to walk back so we had to get taxis there and back every night.

The room was nice and clean, the breakfast was really good and had many options. The food at the bar was good the burgers where nice and juicy, the drinks Alex made where AMAZING he made me a drink that wasn’t in the menu and it was the best one I had in Laganas, I had a really good experience in Oscar

The room was nice, air con was amazing. Hot breakfast wasn't hot and not nice at all but the toast and pastries were OK. Was a cheap stay for what I needed it for. Staff friendly and helpful, very clean. Pool looks nice but didn't get an opportunity to go in as just a short trip
