"A Treasured Memory my Family will never forget."

Story Book Amazing….this was the highlight of our holiday. Views were incredible. The Villa with all the history, each one has its own private area. The terrace, if the village wasn’t so adorable I could have happily stayed on the terrace.

Amazing spot. The view is priceless. Worth the hike up. Great to have a pool and laundry room. Apartment was comfortable with views from all rooms

There was no fans or air con available. This meant it was very hot at night. During the day you could open all doors for the breeze but at night the mozzies would come in. Please supply fans

Spectacular views of the Mediterranean and Atrani Village The swimming pool Luciano the on-site manager was fantastic

No air-conditioning No basic condiments supplied like sauces or salt and pepper etc Mosquitoes at night due to the windows and doors having to remain open due to no air-conditioning The pool closing hour of 5pm was way too early to close

"Stunning views, great host, no airconditiining"

9.0

Luciano was a superb host, we felt well taken care of and were even invited to pick herbs and tomatoes from the vegetable garden The views are out of this world. The apartment was large and spacious, comfortably furnished. Atrani and grocery shop both within comfortable walking distance.

The apartment was not airconditioned even though this is listed as a feature of the property on Booking.com. We experienced 36-38 degree weather during our stay and really missed airconditioning. The pool closes at 5pm which is a huge pity as there were no other options for cooling off.

Pros - The view from the terrace, the pool area, the size of the room (we had apartment 3), the easy access to walk to Atrani

Cons - the pool opened at 10am and closed at 5pm, the bed in the main bedroom (apartment 3) was so uncomfortable and noisy - the springs were digging into my back and I had to sleep in one of the spare single beds, we were charged a 60 Euro tourist fee on departure for a family of 4 for 5 nights - much higher than anywhere else we stayed, the manager recommended a driver who tried to rip us off every time we asked for a quote (they quoted 290 Euro for a van from the villa to Salerno train station, everywhere else charged no more than 160 Euro)

"Wonderful Stay with Great Views and Warm Hospitality"

10.0

I recently stayed at Villa Rosa and had a very pleasant experience. The views from the balcony were stunning, offering a beautiful glimpse of the coast. The location is also very convenient, with just a few steps down to Atrani and easy access to the beach. The surrounding views are beautiful, whether you're exploring the area or just relaxing at the hotel. What really stood out though, was the exceptional hospitality. Luciano, the host, was incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to help us during our stay. We weren’t sure how to book a transfer to Naples airport, and Luciano kindly took care of everything for us. His help made our trip much smoother and less stressful. Overall, I had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ravello. I will definitely be coming back to stay here in the future.

"Stunning Italian property in an incredible location!"

9.0

Incredible views and location! Truly authentic Italian property with a beautiful pool (which is much needed in the August heat). Luciano was so helpful as well - a fantastic manager of the property. After an absolute nightmare with a prebooked taxi (via booking.com) on arrival at the airport, he stepped in to help at midnight/1am to organise a taxi for our group of 6 and made sure we got to the property OK. Overall, we were really impressed with the property and location for the price and had an amazing family trip!

The property didn't have any cleaning products really and had no hand soap in bathrooms. Small touches like that would elevate the level of experience at the property.

"Don’t stay here without a car!"

5.0

The location was very unique; we were literally embedded into the side of a mountain so it also gave us breathtaking views and a sense of isolation which was welcome in a hectic week visiting different parts of the Amalfi coast. We also enjoyed the pool which was clean and cool and beautifully arranged with plants/flowers.

It was two thirds up a mountain! This meant we had to walk up and down the mountain on a daily basis which was exhausting in the heat. When we arrived, we caught the bus to Ravello as the address to Villa Rosa is Ravello. It’s actually located between Ravello and Atrani so we overshot where we needed to get off and found ourselves out at the side of a very scary road not sure what to do. Luckily, we were near the only shop on the road and Luciano (owner/manager) happened to be there getting supplies. He told us we would have to walk down the cliff road until we got to Villa Rosa. I was terrified and asked him if he could lift us but he said no as he already had people (family) in his car but he did agree to take our luggage and then offered one place to us. It would have been very easy for him to drop his passengers off and come back for us. He blamed us for not getting off in the right place though we were never told to ask to get off at Villa Rosa if travelling by bus and he later said they sometimes don’t stop anyway if the bus is full. We decided on the bus by the way as the taxis at amalfi wanted 60 euros to lift us. The bus was 2 euros per person and there were only three of us. Once we got the hang of the bus it was the best way to travel up with the last bus leaving amalfi at 11.30 pm. The best way down was to walk to Atrani and then using the tunnel to Amalfi. We discovered this through fellow residents. Again, a bit of scary road side walking but nothing compared to that first day. However, with the only nearby supermarket being the one on the mountain road above us, a tough 20 min uphill climb in the heat and then back down loaded with shopping, the message is, don’t think about staying here without a car. It’s such a shame because a few simple offerings could make staying here the absolute best such as a shuttle service from Amalfi and some basic supplies on site or a grocery delivery service or even a pizza delivery service!
