Residence Villa Rosa

Breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast and mountain from every room in the apartment. Luciano was a fantastic host and able to address our questions and concerns with ease and fluency in English. He is able to organize car services to nearby towns, ~$60 to either Ravello or Amalfi. His sweet little niece always greeted us at the pool with a smile!

Apartment did NOT have air conditioning as listed on the main advertisement for Villa Rosa, and was extremely disappointed with communication from booking organizer when addressing this on check-in (not our host, Luciano - he recommended opening the windows which helps as long as you can contend with the farm noises at 4am). ~10 min walk down to Atrani by stairs - which means you have to walk them back up with groceries in tow.

The scenery from every vantage point at Villa Rosa was magnificent. The apartments were well equipped and clean. Very authentic Italian apartments. The pool was very nice and unexpectedly a pleasant temperature even though it was in the mid 30’s C each day.

The location is between Ravello and Atrani which means access to these apartments is either by taxi which is 50-60 euros each way from Atrani or walking up or down 383 steps. In addition to the 383 steps our mountain view apartment was a further 300 strides up multiple switchbacks on a vertical incline. My husband and I called it heart attack hill! I’m 61 and my husband 70. Thank goodness we are in good shape. We walked up and down once a day. The walk in total is about 15 minutes each way. With the location so remote it would have been nice to have a small cafe on site for breakfasts or light lunches. You definitely need to grocery shop for such items if the walk up and down the mountain would be too strenuous for you.

Location - advertised as ravello but it is a long way from ravello and taxis are extremely expensive. If you have a car ok but with no car, lots of steps and a long step driveway

The view is stunning, the Villa itself is incredible with an amazing location and to top it off, Luciano is a wonderful host.

The scenery was exceptional, we didn’t have water/ocean views but the mountain view was beautiful. The facilities including bathrooms, pool, laundry were great. The host, Luciano was really helpful with information, organising transfers and even loaning us a tie!

It is a 10 minute walk up stairs from Atrani piazza to the villas, and if you are in the top villa it’s an additional 10 minute walk up the hill, so if you’re not into walking you would need to get transport/ have a car/bike.

We loved the location, just above the Arani town centre. There are a lot of stairs as per other reviews but if you have old enough kids (ours are 10.13) then it’s fine. Pool was lovely.

Really beautiful surroundings, pool area and nice quiet location. Good access to Amalfi.

Only given one key between four people. Bedding wasn’t the freshest/cleanest. Could have provided more amenities such as toilet paper, tea, coffee, washing powder. Had to put down a €200 deposit to get back at the end of the stay for “recycling”.
