Great views, spacious rooms.

Great view, but to get to the beach, you have to walk all way down. It's about a hundred steps, too many stairs.. shower didn't work well, no water pressure.. Too many cats without owners that are in the property.

"Excellent. I'm not a stay in the hotel kinda person but this place almost changed that! :)"

8.0

I don't think there was breakfast, but bottled drinking water was provided, which was nice. Lots of space, plenty airflow (didn't use the AC once). Incredible ocean view. Very clean, fresh towels every day. Large comfortable bed. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Quiet neighborhood, yet very close to everything in Zihua. Just a great experience.

Had to put a towel on the shower drain and keep bathroom door closed to contain moderate sewage smell, but I hear that is a ubiquitous problem in the area and not the hotel's fault (really not a big problem at all). Kitchen knives could use a sharpening. Otherwise, no issues!

"A great place to sit and greet the day and also watch the stars"

Great view of the bay, huge terrace, air conditioning in the bedroom, so close to beach and downtown (just walk down the stairs)

Bathroom could use some renovations (but was clean)

"Excellent value and pleasant stay."

9.0

The view, large patio, and beach access are amazing. AC in the bedroom and facilities to store and cook food were a bonus..

I was disappointed that the furniture on the patio was limited and much of it was broken. We really wanted to spend all of our time out there and would have loved better equipment.

"Overall, a great stay that I would recommend especially for the view!"

8.0

Pros: - The view! It's high up so yes you have to walk stairs when on the beach side or up a hill on the street side but totally worth it. You will see the sun come up over the hills to the left in the morning and the sun disappear to the right behind the hills in the evening. - the terrace outside is huge and I love that there is a shaded part and a sunny part so I can bathe in the sun and then lay in the hammock when I needed shade. I stayed on the top floor, not the PH, but first floor entry from the street. - the bedroom is a great size, comfy big bed, great window with view outside, space to hang clothes and a ceiling fan (there is ac but never used it because the fan is perfect). - showers with hot water. Towels and soap provided. - they give you filtered water! - close to the malecon, restaurants and cafes that you need access to within walking distance. - the women who run the place are sweet and accommodating. they also helped me find a taxi for early morning departure (down at the bottom of the hill they sit if you need it). - I felt safe in the apartment and the neighborhood.

- the bathroom is a little old and less appealing to me personally but it did the job and the hot water worked well for me each night (with a little bit of waiting). - kitchen a little rundown too but I only used the refrigerator and that worked well. - it's very open/windows that don't close, like many places built here so it's great for air but you can hear everything from neighbors and there is late night music coming from restaurant on the beach nearby. Nothing at fault for the property but I wore ear plugs at night (plus cats crying at times). - would have loved if beach towels were supplied.

"A ray of sunshine at the end of a Cul de Sac!"

10.0

What a delightful, authentic dwelling at the end of a quiet cull de sac above beautiful La Medra Bay in Zihuatanejo. The bungalow has a private bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed, air conditioning and a wonderful ceiling fan so you don’t even need the air conditioner. The bathroom off the bedroom provided daily refreshing showers after a day at the beach. There are two single beds off the kitchen area to accommodate additional visitors. 4 of us stayed for two weeks and managed quite well. The kitchen has a new stove, refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee pot and a blender for those happy hour margaritas. There were adequate kitchen supplies; enough for me to cook garlic shrimp with pasta and garlic toast for a wonderful dinner on the fabulous balcony...the best part of this bungalow. The balcony offers stunning views. Each morning with coffee in hand and fresh warm bread from the balillo man (every morning a man walks down the streets with a large basket on his head shouting “Balillos” which are bread rolls shaped like a football. The cost is 4 pesos) we were greeted by birds, a plethora of flora and a colorful array of sailboats in the bay. Late afternoons provided nice breezes and shade for our happy hour and respite from the daily sunshine. Finally, the evening sunsets and crashing sounds of the waves were a perfect way to end the day. You can get to the beach a few different ways, all requiring the ability to manage steps. But it is only about 5 minutes any way you choose, and it is truly very close. There are lots of local restaurants right on the beach. La Chiringuitos was our favorite for crispy fish tacos and cervesa. Mauricio and Navi were delightful. Our host, Lizbeth and her husband are outstanding hosts. They are kind, attentive to details like fresh daily towels, bottled water and daily cleaning. Lizbeth is very quick to answer questions by email. If you come to the Bungalows Pacificos you will not want to leave!

"Bungalows Pacifico is a Wonderful Place to Stay"

10.0

Bungalows Pacifico is a wonderful place to stay in Zihautanejo. The seven bungalows are located on Calle Eva Samano de Lopez Mateo, a cul de sac high above Madera Beach so there is minimal vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Calle Eva Samano de Lopez Mateos is located between the beach and restaurant row, Av. Adelitas, so both the beach and multiple restaurants are within walking distance. However, due to its height above the bay, you have to walk up “heart attack hill” or climb about 75 steps to get to Bungalows Pacifico from the beach or restaurant row. The climb will help keep you in shape, and it soon becomes routine. The grocery store, Mega Comercial, and the el Centro market are within easy walking distance. Bungalows Pacifico has been in existence for about 55 years so it has the heritage, character, style and culture of that period. It was one of the first Bungalows on Calle Eva Samano de Lopez Mateo and has been in the family ever since. It came under new family management two years ago and the new, young owners are working hard to make improvements: new paint inside and out, new air conditioning, new stoves and refrigerators and new electrical fixtures and outlets. Bottled water, cable TV and a fast and strong WiFi internet network are included. The bungalows are spacious with a huge patio, surrounded by flora, which provides privacy but does not block the view of the beach. Sanaida does a wonderful job of housekeeping, with laundered towels daily. Four of us traveling partners lived in one of the bungalows for a month and we are going to return every year. We love the city and the consistent warm and sunny weather. The weather hasn’t changed since we arrived on the 5th of January. Bungalows Pacifico provides the quiet and privacy of a home not found in a large resort. Come and enjoy, but please don’t pass around the secret of this wonderful place.

"A slice of paradise"

10.0

Stunning views, huge terrace & the best & biggest bed in the whole of central & north America. This place is an absolute gem! The kitchen was very clean & equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location was excellent & only a short walk along the beach into town where a wide range of restaurants & bars can be found. We were struggling to book a hire car & the owner very kindly offered us help & the use of a phone free of charge.
