Not the hotels fault but quite a trek to town due to flooding roads in local area.But was do able and good taxi service back from town.

The location which was too far with flooded roads. Was impossible to sit outside because of the mosquitos. The shower head was impossible to use.

We like the pool and that it is small, clean and cozy. The staff were nice and try to help us when they could. They decoration is of nice taste.

Our bad experience began a week before our arrival when the island was hit by heavy rain, flooding, and infrastructure damage. By the time we arrived, the streets were still flooded and partially destroyed. The hotel was located six blocks from the dock, and because the streets were flooded and hazardous, we had to pay 150 pesos to reach it by taxi. Despite trying to stay positive, the conditions downtown were hazardous, with trash, mud, and debris like wood with nails and rocks. The stagnant water caused a terrible smell, and the city’s slow cleanup left the hotel streets untouched even by our fourth day. Mosquitoes were rampant, and insect repellent was ineffective. Additionally, we had issues with our room having no electricity for several hours on two occasions, although they were fixed quickly. We also lacked hot water for two days due to a simple switch that was off, which we were unaware of. Furthermore, the internet was very unreliable. While we understand the weather isn't the hotel owner's fault, we hoped for a refund for the remaining six nights due to these extraordinary circumstances. The person in charge, however, was inflexible and refused any refund, even after we contacted Booking.com. Her only defense was that the weather and street conditions were beyond her control, but they weren't our fault either. This situation could have been avoided if she had informed us ahead of time, giving us the option to cancel. Unfortunately, she didn't, and we weren't the only guests trying to leave.

Great location. A short walk to town center. Lovely room with all needed for a comfortable stay. Cool market nearby. Economic stay was excellent.

Not much I didn’t like. Perhaps the place could have a communal bicycle to make short trips.

It’s off the beaten path so it is quiet. The rooms are clean. There is a small kitchen set up with microwave and refrigerator, plus plates, cups and silverware. Be prepare to walk everywhere. The first day we were there, it stormed. The rest of the time all of the streets are muddy messes but it’s kind of charming in a way and becomes part of the adventure of the island.

There is no real front desk or help for planning time on the island. The shower does have hot water (kinda scalding at times) but the spray is like someone is spitting on you. My advice is to bring a pitcher of water from the kitchen to help rinse yourself off. There is no breakfast.

Shower head was not usable. Only a mist came out and would not remove soap or shampoo from body. Needs a bigger knife in kitchen
