Holbox Isla Bonita

Due to flooded streets because of a storm the week before it was adventurous to reach the hotel by foot. Might be better to take a taxi!

I booked this guesthouse further away from the center, especially to get a good night's sleep. When I arrived, my room was right in front of the entrance gate. I immediately asked to be moved to a similar room, but further away, and the cleaning staff went to talk to the person in charge who said that although the other guests hadn't arrived yet, all the rooms were already booked. I asked why not put me in another one, since they were all the same and the cleaner replied: that's what they told me. Furthermore, there was a table in front of my bedroom door, literally two steps away. Guests sit, smoke, drink and talk there, which also makes it difficult to sleep. The first night I only slept for about 3 hours, as people arrived from the street banging on the gate. The cleaners arrive at 8am and start sweeping and washing the entrance, right at the bedroom door, which also disrupts sleep. I bought earplugs so I could sleep after the first night. There is no reception, telephone or anyone to contact at the inn if you need anything. There is a password to get the room key when you return from the day. On the first day, I had to wait 1 hour and a half for them to respond to a message I sent, because they gave me the wrong password to retrieve the key. The rooms at the bottom of the inn are extremely dark, with only one window in the kitchen, and because it is in front of the entrance gate, it is impossible to leave the door open. The lights need to be on at all times of the day and the room gets stuffy. The water in the shower is weak. It had been raining in the city and closer to the inn there were puddles of water all over the street, making it impossible to pass, as there was no sidewalk for pedestrians, in addition to there being no light pole near the inn. No message or guidance was sent to suggest taking a taxi or how to get to the inn without putting our feet in the mud.

Shower, no water pressure at all The cleaning ladies broke the toilet seat after first day, so we had no seat for the next 3 nights...

Cute hotel, nice pool.

The roads on Holbox are basically giant muddy puddles, and the hotel is in the middle of a particularly big, smelly one. Shower had zero pressure- just drips, impossible to wash hair.

Comfortable, quiet and spacious.

Baaic hotel - that haa all you need for a few days stay . Airco was working - small kitchnette ideal for small snacking if you do not want to eat out - in a quiet area
