The host is very nice and helpful. Besides that, the cottage is located on a beautiful place. Me and my girlfriend were very happy to stay here.

Superb place with great hospitality. The host was amazing. He was a super kind , talkative person. The place has a nice view , super comfortable. Sunrise in the morning is wonderful.

The views are spectacular and the rooms are very comfortable and clean, my host took such good care of me and is always available if you have any questions or need to get to the train station or restaurant.

Awesome view from the bed and balcony. Only one room and the owner lives nearby so perfect service whenever you need it. He talks a lot with you and helps perfectly. Perfect breakfast with all you ask for (we like local breakfast). Bed very comfy and many pillows. Fast Wifi. Really good service!

A few meters on a difficult staircase but the owner helps you with your bags. Fridge has to be left open when not plugged in so it stays clean. Shower water flooding half of the bathroom but there is a wiper to clean it.

Bit far away from Town but it’s easy to take a tuktuk to the center, the Landscape make you forget it :)

I returned to ice age cottage after loving it so much the first time. Nirmala is such an amazing host, meeting me off my bus, remembering even that I'd asked for a small glass to enjoy my beer and asking if I'd like one again. Ice age is perfect - location perfect for walking the tracks into Ella and has the most amazing view. It's quiet, immaculate and has fast WiFi. Stay here! And eat at bees honey on the tracks - best food I had in Sri Lanka using home grown veg.
