Ice Age Cottage

Beautiful view from the balcony, Attentive and helpful host, Delicious and copious breakfast, Calm and tranquil

The cottage is about 3.2kms from the Ella town centre (not 1.8 kms as advertised. Definitely need a scooter, car or tuk tuk to get there as it is a steep walk and the road is not lit at night. There are about 60 steps from the road to the cottage and the incline is steep... Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility challenges.

Cool location, cozy house, good owner, delicious breakfast, comfortable bed, fireflies fly at night, monkeys can be seen during the day. Wifi worked well, a kettle was provided upon request, the room had a hairdryer and a refrigerator

At night the room can be cool, one blanket for two people is small in size, it can be uncomfortable

Breakfast was more than perfect. Host is very friendly and carried are bags to the Villa. The view is beautiful and it is very quiet.

No direct parking, but we got a nice parking for the neighbour.

The host managing the accomodation was lovely and attentive and knowledgeable with recommendations.Area was very calm beautiful view and great to have breakfast in the balcony with a great view in full privacy.

The owner was super nice, he arranged a great dinner and my stay could not be any better! Thank you so much

The host was amazing, he organized tuktuks for us, told us what to explore and the best time for it. The apartment has a very nice view and a terrace where you can enjoy this view. The breakfast was tasty and had different options to choose from. The apartment is located away from the city center. You get a nice view and a quiet atmosphere but you will need a tuktuk to get to the city center - around 10min ride.

We were unlucky with the weather, so if you end up in Ella with bad weather, you might experience the same. Bedsheets and towels were moist and the blanket was a bit smelly. It can be a bit cold with bad weather and also the air in the apartment gets quite humid.

The room was clean and had a decent view from the balcony. The host and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The washroom was quite good with hot water options. The owner made special arrangements for halal food on request. Also made bookings of the transportation for us.The breakfast was really good. Loved the overall experience.

The view from the room (from inside and from the terrace) was fantastic and the room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Hot water included. The host was very attentive and service-oriented There is only one cottage and this is a local entrepreneurship located in the village surrounded by local life but close to Ella (5min ride rickshaw) Breakfast was abundant and the host accommodated to our preferred breakfast time after going to Ella's rock

Leaving. I would have been fantastic to enjoy that sunrise one more time.
