Catalina's Got Cart Condo

Alison was wonderful meeting us at the ferry dock and taking us to the property. It was wonderful having the golf cart to get around and explore although you do have to park the cart offsite at night approx. 1/4 mile away. The bed was comfortable and the condo was roomy and pretty well supplied.

We are seniors with some mobility issues. While the property does have elevators, you still need to negotiate two floors of steps up and down to get into the condo. This wasn't stated in the listing. My main complaint is the pool and hot tub were turned off during the week. The pool/hot tub was my main reason for choosing this place. This also wasn't stated in the listing as was the fact you have to walk 1/4 mile to get to the place you have to park the golf cart at night. For this reason I don't feel we received full value for the cost of our stay. A better description would have led to us staying elsewhere.

The Condo is old. The bed is a full size and the mattress is worn out. The couch sinks in when you sit on it. The refrigerator is not working properly. Doesn’t keep food cold. The freezer over freezes. The golf cart is out dated and needs maintenance. The only positive was the location. Walking distance from the Strip and Vons, the supermarket

The refrigerator unfortunately didn’t keep our food cold - we did report it at the end of our trip and were told a new one was ordered. That’s good for future guests.

We like how convenient the location is, well equipped and the golf cart it’s always everything so much easier.

The property had everything we needed it

The property is dated. All the furniture had some major wear and tear. Every couch and armchair was wrapped in poorly fitted covers. Bed was very uncomfortable. Very tall mattress topped with something (pillow top?) somewhat smaller, which made it rounded on the edges. So we had to huddle in the middle. No actual air control. Window AC unit and ceiling radiant heat with no possibility of setting the temperature. It was mostly too hot, but cold with the AC/fan on. The kitchen faucet can only be used in the shallower part of the double sink. It is installed on this side and too short to reach the deep side. The faucet in the master bath barely trickle warm water. The shower head in the tub was installed so low that we had to squat or bend backward to use it (as a reference I’m 5’6”). There was no actual closet space available as every closet had at least half of it filled and the other half had something in the back and on the floor. The can opener is missing and the drying rack was so dirty that we decided to use a towel instead. The laundry is NOT inside the unit. It is the whole large apartment complex laundry area.

This is the 5th year in a row that we have stayed at this property. It is comfortable, easy access close to anything you want or need. The golf cart is a plus as it makes getting around town a breeze. Allison is so friendly and always available. We look forward to going back every year
