Residence La Dolce Vita

Sadly, there’s nothing I want to write here.

Extremely disappointed. First of all, we paid for sea view. The view we got is shown in one of my photos. Secondly, we found black mold in the fridge. Both disgusting and dangerous. On top of that, the apartment was full of living ant colonies. First day after arrival we informed the owner of the hotel about these issues, and was told to take care of it ourselves. As guests we were, according to her, supposed to take care of the ants ourselves by killing them with a toxic substance, dangerous to inhale and get on your skin as well. What disappointed me the most was the response of the hotel owner. Despite all of these issues, she refused to compensate us. After a long discussion she told us she would look into the possibilities to give us a small refund. But as shown in my photos she completely stopped answering us.

The main reason I would not stay here again is due to the lack of communication during a crisis from the hosts. During a fire in the village the electricity went down, as we had only been given an electronic key we had no access to our apartment. After being on the beach all day with a child we returned to our room to find ourselves locked out. We called and called to no avail and it was only a neighbouring tourist staying at the apartment who made us aware that the electric was down which is why our keycard didn't work. She very kindly called the hosts and they said we would have to wait as they had delivered all the manual keys except ours as they couldn't locate it. The door exit at the top of the apartment was left propped open, presumably incase of a fire so we could escape. This felt unsafe as anyone could walk down from the top road without a key. When my partner finally was able to speak to a host after ringing multiple times she was very rude with him which we did not appreciate. There was no apology or concern for our situation or welfare. Not a bottle of water offered or a blanket as it was approaching nighttime with a child who was wearing only a bathing suit. This residence should issue both manual and electronic keys as this situation has apparently occurred before. The balcony was not completely as described and we had expected recliner chairs as are available in the residence du torri balconies. The kitchen was almost impossible to cook a decent meal in due to many missing utensils and the bear minium of pots, pans and dishes. We noted our neighbours had brought their own bbq and cooking gear which was probably a wise idea.

The view is fabulous. The studio had everything. Highly recommend!

It had great views, ample space and a private beach

Our AC was broken in our bedroom. I reached out daily and was always told "tomorrow". Tomorrow never happened. Luckily the kitchen AC trickled in enough that by 11pm it was cool enough to sleep under the sheet.

Generally we liked it, but there a few moments that ruined our stay. The Residence is located in a beautiful place, between the mountains and with a sea view, but it’s a little difficult to get there. You’ll have to walk there by foot through the road, where cars and buses are passing just a few centimeters from you. It’s very scary and dangerous. The residence is not located in Maiori itself, but on the road to Maiori. The room itself was beautiful, clean and very comfortable and the view was worth it. On the roof of the residence there was a hot tub with sun-beds, which was also nice. To go to the beach you’ll have to walk down the stairs, but the sea is very beautiful. There was a free beach and a paid one, where were the sun-beds and umbrellas. To use the sun-beds you’ll have to pay approximately 40-50 euros, the same prices as in the beaches in Maiori.

-good cooking facilities, most things you would need - comfy bed -very clean - little welcome pack with oil, sugar, balsamic vinegar, biscuits and teabags (although we couldn’t use these because there was no milk like we told would be provided)

- when we arrived we headed to the property address to find no reception nor any way to get in. We had to call 3 times to get in contact with the staff, who initially said we had no booking. They then realised we did finally told us we had to walk back into town to complete check in on the office. -we arrived before any staff, check in is allowed from three and the first staff member showed up at approximately 3.30 with us and another couple waiting. - Sun terrance had poles over it so wasn’t ideal for sunbathing -the hot tub/ jacuzzi that was promised, was freezing cold. We asked why this was and was told a hot tub can be cold. - staff were very rude to me on this issue, which was actually the selling point of this property for us. Very disappointed in this, and the staff have terrible customer service towards issues. - the kitchen had no sponge or washing up liquid, when I messaged about this in the morning when we were washing up to leave, the staff got back to me after check out time and simply said I should have asked where to find it and they would have told me to go into the cleaners closet. Again very rude.
