Residence Villa Stella

Villa Stella is perfectly situated on a quiet central place in between the three starting points for skiing in Ortisei. Very near ski-buss stop to Seceda cable car and useful trace to Alpe di Siusi gondola by walk or by car. A friendly staff supply for free every morning just backed bread according your wishes. The reach internal atmosphere completes the perfectly cleaned large rooms and suites, well equipped with furniture and kitchen. In addition to the presence of open parking area in front of the entrance, the large and high ceiling garage is comfortable even for busses. The ski room is equipped with all the facilities: heaters for ski boots, gloves and helmets, strong supports for skis and boards, direct access both to the garage and to outside. Silent lift serves all the floors from garage to the top level. Definitely the rate value/money deserve your attention.

The owner was very friendly and attentive. The location is very convenient for accessing the Seceda lift and town center.

We stayed at Villa Stella for a week during a ski trip to the Dolomites, with a focus on skiing the Sellaronda—and the experience exceeded expectations. The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths. It’s about a 5-minute walk to the Seceda lift and roughly 10 minutes to the Alpe di Siusi lift. The walk back is slightly uphill, but still very manageable even after a long day on the slopes. The hotel itself is family-owned and very well maintained. You can tell there’s pride in the details. There’s a dedicated ski room with direct street access, which makes storing and retrieving equipment very convenient. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade overlooking the town. The room was spotless and well-equipped, including a full set of cooking utensils, which made it easy to prepare simple meals. Although the hotel doesn’t offer a full breakfast service, they provide fresh bread every morning. Personally, I found this to be an advantage—it gave us more flexibility and allowed us to get on the slopes earlier without being tied to a breakfast schedule. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist Dexianna. She patiently answered all our questions and provided great recommendations for skiing and local activities. One small hiccup: the reception closes at 5 PM, and we arrived late at around 10 PM. While they had thoughtfully left the key in the mailbox, it was locked. Fortunately, there was a way to page the owner directly from the mailbox, and we were quickly let in—so it was resolved without much trouble. Overall, staying at Villa Stella felt effortless and comfortable. It made our ski trip smooth and enjoyable. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone planning a ski trip to Ortisei and the Sellaronda area.

Nothing really

We spent an unforgettable week at Residence Villa Stella from March 7th to 15th. The residence is located in the center of Ortisei (Val Gardena), just a 5-minute walk from the ski lift to the Sella Ronda. Our two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen was incredibly cozy, and its balcony offered stunning views of the town and picturesque mountains. Karin and her team do everything possible to make guests feel at home: fresh bread is delivered to the apartment every morning, a modern coffee machine makes delicious coffee, and tea, cookies, sweets, and pastries are always nearby—all free of charge! The residence has street parking and a large underground garage, as well as a ski locker and boot dryer. We were always greeted at reception by the charming Tiziana, who readily answered any questions and fulfilled our requests. Karin and Tiziana, thank you so much for our wonderful vacation! We will definitely come again!

A well located apartment-style lodge with everything needed for a comfortable stay, and friendly staff ready to assist with anything needed

We were on a skiing holiday. The first thing to say is that all the staff were very helpful and very friendly. We arrived late so they made arrangements for us to settle in. Every aspect of the room was good. Kitchen area fully equipped, bed with TV at end was comfortable. The bath and shower was great at the end of a hard days skiing. The ski room was professionally equipped and had two access points from outside. Parking was available either in the under ground garage or just outside off the road. The walk to either side of the valley to access the cable cars is short. From Ortisei you can ski to Santa Cristina and then onto and around the Sella Ronda and back as well as the slopes around Ortisei. The whole building is beautifully decorated and furnished and exceptionally clean. Delivery of bread early in the morning and access to free coffee was a delightful bonus. We will be booking again.
