The location as shown on the map was deceiving. Yes, the lagoon is about 800 meters away from the hotel. But there is a school along the roadside so you have to walk several blocks before you can actually access the lagoon.

Nice hosts, we stayed twice and were able to leave bags in between. Well equipped outdoor kitchen and we got to try some fresh Guayabana from the garden.

It is their family home too, so there were lots of people around ( an event one evening) and in and out of the kitchen and using the pool etc. It felt like a nice community vibe but to note for people who might prefer something more private.

The place is very cosy with a nice communal area and well stocked kitchen. It is a pleasant 20 minutes walk to the center square and a few minutes from the lagoon. The family is super nice. I will definitely go back there. Highly recommend

Great family run hotel, with good kitchen. 15 min walk to town centre but close to the lagoon. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating. Beds were quite small but the room as a whole was nice!

Family-like atmosphere with very friendly and flexible owners. Nice outside kitchen.

Lovely family run hotel with a great garden and pool for relaxing in. Quiet location and a short (10 min) walk to the center of town - though with shops and restaurants nearby as well. Only downside for us was we had an interior room with no outside window, but would still stay again if we returned to Bacalar.

A garden oasis, very clean comforting. Excellent kitchen stocked with all utensils and supplies.

Beds alittle uncomfortable. Bikes tire flat then chain came off but landlord fixed it up fast.

Kitchen, coffee, garden, wifi. Location is off center but you can get to the public beach by foot

Hot water was missing in shower.
