The Grand Gables

Other than the location everything about this place was bad. The place was unkempt, kitchen drawers lacked any utensils and were full of dirt and dead insects and the entire place looked like it had been hurriedly cleaned up for the guests. In one word: Grimy.

Everything about the accommodation was off. Especially the absolute lack of cleanliness. We were not impressed at all and did not stay on even though it meant losing the entire amount for the stay. The management offered us an upgrade to King Post, which was equally terrible. We decided to leave.

This place is magical and gives you the home type of feeling. Magical if its the least to say and its also near amenities you need.

The wi-fi was not working, and I did not have hotwater on one day. But everything got sorted out.

The staff did their best to assist me when I reached out with my problems with the property. Outside courtyard looked pretty. Good location & neighborhood.

For the price paid the facilities did not match my expectations. The photos didn't match the actual state of the property as well. The couch looked disgusting with so many stains, we couldn't sit on it. The bed linen looked it was already slept in & it took quite a while & repeated follow ups to get it changed. Overall the place is being marketed as a long term stay but it didn't have basic necessities. No dish washing liquid for example. We found someone else's sock in the bedroom & trash in one of of the dustbins. Was really looking forward to staying at Grand Gables but I was very dissapointed. Would not recommend unless they fix the cleanliness level.

We did not like anything in relation to the accommodation.

We had booked the accommodation for a few days/nights. We arrived quite late. The security man checked us in. To our disappointment, the rooms do not reflect the pictures on booking sites. Everything is worn out, smelling bad, dirty, or not functioning. There is no single thing we can pinpoint that is okay. The rooms are generally old and dirty. The couch is so dirty and fully stained. The mats, the tables, the mosquito nets....Everything! Above all, we did not have hot water, even after the security guy came to switch on the boiler. We couldn't stay there anymore, thus decided to check out in the morning after informing them about the reasons we were leaving. The management later contacted us but insisted that we have to pay the full amount ( for the days we had booked) despite our disappointment and genuine/objective complains. It is unbelievable, and we would like to save other people from the stress we had to go through. The Grand Gables is not a place to go!! What you see on the booking website is not the reality.
