The Golden Ball Cottages

Something a bit different which was clean and cosy. Dog friendly. Nice apartment just a few adjustments to the property would make this a really nice place to stay.

When we arrived we had not been informed which cottage we were at, but fortunately the pub over the road knew but were not happy about the situation as they said this happened on a regular basis. Fridge too small No hot water Minimal water pressure. No mattress protector

I liked the lake and layout of little cottage

No fridge we couldn't even store anything no drinks mo extra milk couldn't buy anything for sandwiches so we spent loads having eat out all time

Location and value for money. Pub on your doorstep is very handy indeed. Spacious and comfortable room.

We had no hot water during our stay, but the owners did all they could to rectify the issue ( it was a weekend ) . Not an issue for a and night stay.

Fantastic location, the Golden Ball pub serves excellent food, which, along with the drinks, is reasonably priced. Large beer garden with great views over the river. The rooms are spacious, a large double bed plus a single & a fold-out.

When we arrived, the central heating was on & set at 27 degrees. There was no wifi available. At night, the small green light, part of the emergency lights in the room, lit up the room. If you need darkness to sleep, then take an eye mask. Lack of information in the room

I don't usually like being away from home so I was nervous but the room was clean and comfortable.tje staff were lovely, so much so that I booked another weekend

We couldn't get hot water but we're happy to take cool showers as it was really good weather

It looked nice. Convenient parking. Comfy bed Spacious Nice lay out Big wardrobe

Wonky toilet seat. Full stinky bin in front of the door. No hand soap. Not enough tea and coffee. Shower waste gurgling when you flushed the toilet. No fan provided so it was hot and muggy on a summer night. WI-FI would have been nice.
