The Golden Ball Cottages

We had great scenery in all direction We had a choice of stay around the cottage with the pub across for food or go and explore which we did both. Just fantastic weekend.

No cooking facilities but we ate cold.

It was so cosy, all I wanted to do was sleep 😴 with having a hectic week in work this was so relaxing. Beds were really comfy. It was immaculate, fresh towels and bedding, big tv in room, we weren't bothered about WiFi, we were facing the river, there was golden ball hotel facing if you wanted drinks and food with live music and a little play area. Its about 7 mins drive to morcambe, we took our little girl for a long walk along the promenade, and Lancaster is same distance too. We had a really chilled break.

Nothing to dislike.

The location close to Heysham power station was good and the main reason I chose the property. Parking was right outside the front door.

The cottage was very basic with tired decor and a toilet seat that did not fit. Shower water pressure was non existent so virtually useless. My main complaint was I could not get the property to issue a VAT receipt despite repeated requests. The contact number was useless and did not resolve any of my issues. In addition I was working nights and trying to sleep during the day. This was not helped by noise from the Golden Ball Pub on the opposite side of the car park.

The cottage is very cute. The location is good. Not far from anywhere

Disappointed about the damp towels that we were given. They had the electric heating that we used to dry the bath towels to use. It just felt damp.
