Everything good

Our stay was perfect here. Andreas took care of everything we needed. The rooms are fully equipped and clean. Everything you need (shops, bakeries, car rental, etc.) is really close. The area is not crowded and loud like others, it is really calm but beautiful. I recommend for a really chill holiday and for a holiday with activities too as it is really close to everything. I recommend the place for everyone - kids, couples, friend groups. The food and the drinks at the bar is really good. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are super clean and modern. The rooms had AC, so we never felt too hot.

The property is located very closely to a nice sandy beach, with clean shallow water and multiple options for rentals (sunbeds, watersport items). There are also several restaurants and shops within walking distance. The pool is nice for children, and there are outdoor sitting areas next to each apartment which is nice for families to socialise. The owners are very nice, they went out of their way to put our travel group next to each other in the apartments more suitable for small children. We were also allowed early check-in. Our apartments were cleaned daily by a nice lady.

The photos looked much better than reality. In reality, everything is a bit worn. The palm trees you see on the photos belong to the property next door. The environment is not that nice; there are several derelict buildings in the street, and a parking lot full of rubbish you need to pass through to get to the beach. On the other hand, there are a couple of more attractive properties right next door. This property has a very good location and good potential; it could be made much better value for money if there was some good decoration and some thoughtful details in the rooms and more plants around. When we arrived there was no water in out fridge - everywhere else we ever travelled in the Mediterranean usually has this. Overall, the property would be good value for money at about half of the price we were charged for it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Elma's Dream Apartments. Andreas and his family were helpful, friendly and so relaxed. The apartment was perfect for our family (two adults and a toddler) and we had everything we needed as well as daily cleaning. The main pool was amazing; such a good size and the children's pool perfect for our daughter. We were less than a five minute walk from the beach and about 40 minute walk into Chania, which we didn't mind at all as the views were beautiful along the beach. A good choice of restaurants and supermarkets in the local area. Would recommend Sterna (less than five minutes away) one night if you're in the area! Would definitely book here again. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!
