"Two nights in Boca"

Very cute old motel, right on the river. Far enough from main bars so noise is low.

The town has a dog problem, all over and bark all night. None seem mean, but bark all night.

The location is always our favourite part. Beautiful views of a stunning and quaint fishing village.

Instructions were only in Spanish when on site (binder full of house rules and local treats was only provided in Spanish, providing this in multiple languages would have been more useful).

"Our favorite place to stay on our trip"

10.0

Wonderful patio, dreamy hammock, beautiful view, very clean. Everything you need for a fantastic stay. We loved playing cards on the patio after a later dinner at Casa Abuela. (The ceviche place across the street from there is also excellent.) Every day we took a water taxi (100 pesos) to different beaches. We stayed three nights and got to three beaches - we could have stayed another night to make it to Yelapa. We liked going towards the end of Las Animas under the shade of the palm trees, and hanging out at Charly's Bar on Playa Quimixto watching the incredible surfing. One day we hiked (45 mins) to Colomitos Beach which was shallow low waves, but pretty small in terms of footprint.

Worth being aware that there's about a 100m walk from the bridge to the property at the moment as the bridge right in front of La Posada washed out with the hurricane. We managed it with a stroller, rolling suitcase, and backpacks but it took a touch of effort! Totally worth it. It looked like it was being rebuilt while we were there (December 2023).

I like that Posada Pacifica is on the other side of the pedestrian bridge, very quiet at night. The room was spacious for the 3 of us and everything was clean. I also like the balcony overlooking the creek/river. Easy bus ride to Puerto Vallarta (10 pesos, one way (about 1$ CAD and it takes only 25 minutes, buses frequent too). I love the hike to Colomitos Beach, this beach is small but well worth the visit, water is warm and beautiful! You can take the boat when you return (I suggest going early, so it's less busy.

This is a great place to stay for a few days, but we stayed too long (6 days), not much in Boca itself, it is more of a hub to visit other locations, especially by boat.

"We will stay here again!"

This is a Hidden Gem!

Can be a lil noisy with neighborhood roosters and dogs, but we felt it made for an authentic village feel.
