It is a beautiful, spacious property. We had a suite with a kitchen (I think they all have kitchens) that included a cooler of water and cooking items to make lots of food (blender, microwave, stovetop, pots pans, coffee maker, etc.). We were able to buy bread and cereal locally and save some money on breakfast. There are some fantastic local bakeries that are incredibly inexpensive. There is also a nice outdoor seating area. This hotel is a bit further away from a lot of the restaurants, but Puerto Villamil is such a small town that nothing is far. If you book tours, the tour guides will pick you up by truck or bus from your hotel, including this one. We would recommend doing the tunnels and tintorerías, we saw so much wildlife! We took the ferry from Santa Cruz to Isabelle and back (bring Dramamine!), and the ferry back left at 3pm. You can get a late 2 pm checkout for $10, which was really helpful. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Isabella. Isabella is my favorite island!

Everything was great! I imagine the distance the hotel is from the water might be a turnoff for some people, but the hotel is so nice and inexpensive, and it was easy to walk to the water. The distance didn’t impact us.

A modern, well equipped apartment

No hot water for showers, despite asking 3 times the staff couldn’t get it working, which was the only real disappointment. Other kitchen items also didn’t work, suspect teething problems.

Good apartment complex about 10minutes to walk to the beach. Friendly staff, basic but sufficient kitchen, good aircon, quiet and clean.

The flat was a good size, clean, and well equipped. The people managing the block are there from 8am til 6 or 7pm every day, and offer a very affordable laundry service as well as cold beer and soft drinks for sale at low prices.

The flat was advertised as being air conditioned. In fact only the living area was air conditioned, not the bedrooms. But we left the bedroom doors open, which allowed enough cool air to make us comfortable at night. Two couples sharing the flat may not wish to leave their bedroom doors open.

Location, friendly staff

Breakfast was advertised as included but it was not. No staples supplied in the kitchen like cooking oil, pepper, any spices.

Good size and well equipped one bedroom flat on the quiet edge of town but just a short (9min) walk to the main square, but there are different shops closer than that. Unlimited water refill and there are always bananas on the communal table for guests. Staff in attendance during the day was helpful to book taxi (Spanish speaking but nothing Google Translate can't fix).

The illuminated hotel logo on the wall opposite the bedroom is really bright and the curtains are not blackout but this may not be an issue if you are not disturbed by light at night. Aircon in this appointment is in the kitchen/dining room so cold air struggles to reach the bedroom. Nearby dogs also bark late into the night.
