The owner came out on Sunday to let me in because I couldn't figure out to check myself in. My bad. My room was changed to a room that was more accessible and quiet. I had suffered an accident which affected my mobility, so I was moved the next day. I appreciated that very much. The room was cozy and warm, with appealing art and carved furniture. It has a lovely, Old San Miguel feeling. The host was very gracious when I thought I had lost the keys . They were in my pocket, afterall! The neighbood iss friendly, with a well stocked tienda only a few doors away. Also a salon de belleza, beauty shop, where I received an excellent haircut for only 100 pesos!

I found the receptionist to be unable. I asked her to show me how to use the key lock box but she never showed up. I don't know if she was responsible for restocking the toilet paper and clean towels. There was no hand towel but there were 2 bathtowels and a washcloth. Only 1 roll of tp for the last 4 days. somone might have thought there were more stocked in the cupboard, as the first room had 3. However, this did not hinder my overall enjoyment of my stay.

Eugenio was an excellent host! Very responsive, warm, friendly, & inviting, and provided recommendations on places to eat and things to do.

Nice location, cleanness, great stuff. Design of the building and rooms.

It was extremely cold at night. I asked the owner for a small heater and he refused to deliver it. One morning I had to take a cold shower. There were some technical problems. However by afternoon it was fixed.

Great location, walking distance to the center and lots of food options.check in and out was super easy!

The property was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! It was always a very comfortable temperature in room but they did have a fan for use if needed (I never needed it). It was great that they had unlimited filtered water available so no fussing about with buying a bunch of individual water bottles. The location was great, it seemed like a very calm family friendly neighborhood. I never had any issues with noise and it was just a short (mostly flat) walk to the main town center. Eugenio was very helpful and had some great recommendations for things to do in the area, he was very responsive when I had any questions and made sure I had everything I needed

The only negative thing (and this is very minor) is that the TV remote didn't work very well so I couldn't really watch netflix on the tv. This was fine as I had my tablet with me anyways and I didn't ask for it to be fixed (so it was clearly not that big of an issue for me)

Eugenio, the owner of the property was just exceptional. I booked the cheapest room and he upgraded us without expecting anything in return. Then, when we had a rainy day, he offered an extra night for free just so we could enjoy the city properly! I’m not saying anyone should expect this kind of treatment, after all, a hotel is a business, but who’s had this kind of a experience before? Just shows what a kind man he is. Oh! And the day we left he even gave us a lift to the bus station!

I really liked the architecture and decor. The hotel is in a great location close to the Fabrica des Artes and downtown San Miguel Allende. Eugenio and the rest of the staff are friendly and accommodating.
