Elsanosy Family Guest House - Luxor

The place is away from the hustle (and pollution) of central Luxor but not so far away that it would be hard to get to - we took the public ferry and walked from there with no issues. The room we stayed is on the top floor with a dome shaped ceiling - super cool - and a large terrace in front, which is convenient to sit and enjoy the stars in the evening. The place is quiet and the bed is very comfortable (also a large double which was nice after having slept in singles for the majority of the trip) - we slept very well. Breakfast is filling, we were also getting a new dish every day alongside the regular breakfast staples. The owners are a nice friendly family and we enjoyed conversations as well as the ability to observe the local home life.

There is no WiFi on the top floor where the room is, so you would have to go downstairs to use internet - it didn't bother us as we had local SIMs with data. Boiler was leaking in the bathroom when we arrived, but we told the owner and he was able to at least temporararily fix it. When it's windy, balcony doors and the window rattle quite a bit - we padded them with our clothes and it did the job.

Almost everything. A wonderful homestay experience in Luxor. Situated in the west bank area (almost 40 minutes from downtown). Rooms were very clean, breakfast and dinner was very nice (Egyptian style). House owner and wife were very nice and helpful. We got rooms in the first floor so my mother didn't have to climb too many stairs. View from rooftop is nice. Many banana fields are nearby.

Can't think of any. Location is bit far from the downtown but that won't be an issue in my opinion.

Clean and quiet place. Very nice to interact with a woman after always just seeing men. Helpful and caring hosts.

The simple family run home stay. The owners are caring and very helpful. Food home cooked and delicious. The hot air balloon safari was awesome and the owner helped us get a sunrise flight on new years. Overall an amazing stay and value for money.

Everything was perfect ! Kind and welcomings persons. We eat 2 times in the evening at the guest house and it was the best food we eat in Egypt ! Thank you for the cooker! The room was spacious with two terraces with beautiful view on the banana fields. The owner can book a ballon fly for you. It's very well organised and the experience is fabulous. Breakfast very good, beautifully garden... So, perfect.
