"A good place in a good location that would be better with some improvements"

It is located in Elephantine island which is the calmest and nicest part of Aswan. It's also very close to the ferry which goes frequently to the mainland Aswan (2 minutes sailing, 10 pounds per person). We had a private bathroom attached to our room and hot water.

The guesthouse lacked some basic facilities such as soap, towels, stove, crockery, and cutlery. We got bowls and spoons after we asked the owner. Also, if you are sensitive to smoking, useful to note that smoking is allowed in the common areas.
