Shater Nubian House

Very clean, comfortable place, the owner helped me a lot with my tour to Abu-Simbel and transportation.

It’s a nice good comfortable homestay in a great location on the island, it’s not a hotel. Two minutes walk from the south ferry, so ideal if you want to stay on the island. The boss is very nice and helpful, can organise tours and things to do in Aswan. WiFi worked perfectly.

The guest house was located in a quiet area of the island, and close to the ferry that transports to the mainland

The guest house was filthy dirty. The bed sheets had old hair everywhere, and were not replaced from the last guests, or several guests. The floor was dusty, sandy and unvacuumed with hair and there were cobwebs between the bed and the bedside table. The bathroom was revolting from built up dust and grime on the mirror ledge and the sink basin. I didnt use the facilities, but the shared fridge was soiled with greasy stains on the walls and floor. There were old drink containers, spoilt preserve and a tired and dried out curry. The whole place looked like it hasn't been cleaned for years.
