Super friendly host and staff! Great location if you like it a bit more quiet.

The views from the room and the attached balcony of sunset over the nile was fabulous. Amjad, the owner, was a gem of a person - good conversations and always ensured we got packed breakfast if we had to leave early. The rooftop terrace is a cool location to soak in evening sunset view, don't miss it. Plus, the people on the island are very friendly and gives you the feel of staying in a quiet village.

The only point I didn't like was we thought we had booked a double bed but got twin beds, but it's not a deal breaker. Guesthouse is on the other side of the island so getting there with a public ferry means hauling your luggages from the pier. You have to rely on local help because google maps is not accurate on the island. Again, these are just minor points and not even orange flags :)

Being on Elephantine Island, in the middle of Nubian village was an authentic experience. Hotel rooms are basic but comfortable enough and clean. Hotel has a pet baby crocodile! Our host, Amgad was very helpful and friendly and made our stay pleasant. Good value for money and worked well for our large family as we got a whole floor to ourselves and 4 bathrooms between 8 of us! It was also close to the attractions such as Anamalia & Elephantine Island museum.

The staff was super friendly, the location amazing, the food tasty and the view was epic. The Nubian locals in the area were possibly the highlighy of our trip, extremely friendly, helpful and kind. The terrace view was beautiful

The shower was clogged with hairs, there was no sheets for the thick blankets so it was too hot, the fan was super loud and broken.
