Beautifully appointed and decorated, this small hotel in a quiet street in the centre of Cockermouth, within walking distance to everything, is spotlessly clean and most comfortable. Lovely bed-linens and towels. The photographs on the website are very representative! The staff are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We hope to return!

Just one small thing. Although we had a large bathroom with a beautiful walk-in shower, the one (and only) missing thing was a towel rail. We had to drape our bath towels over the glass partition of the shower to have any hope of their drying before next use. In the winter the radiator would be running and could be used.
