Loved the house and the setting. Matthew was a terrific host, aimed to please his guests and was very knowledgeable about what to do and where to go

"Beautiful surroundings, fantastic conversations with host and other guests."

Breakfast was amazing with several non-gluten ingredient options. We did have dinner on site. It was excellent. (Dinner must be ordered 24 hours in advance.) The fresh cut flowers from the grounds were so beautiful.

Background music in study and dining room was a bit overstimulating and made conversations difficult at times for us.

"A stunning peaceful place - we highly recommend"

Melfort House is located in just a very beautiful surrounding - landscape, village, the park around the house with very old and valuable trees,... The owner of the property was very friendly, helpful and hospitable. We made reservations for dinner - the best idea we could have. Our Room with Seaview was very spacious, perfectly decorated and the bed absolutely comfortable. We would defenitely love to come back one day.

We disliked nothing.

The house is set in a beautiful loch side location and the walk down to the loch was pleasant and comfortable. The rooms were very big, spacious, comfortable with large en suite bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent and all tastes catered for. Would definitely use it again.

I suspect we may have had problems getting an evening meal without pre booking. However, this appeared to be normal for September in The highlands of Scotland. Fortunately we had eaten before arriving at the house.
