Woodland House Hotel

Peaceful location and elegant building. Very spacious room with a very comfortable bed and a fine breakfast

Some areas in need of tlc. In particular the windows urgently need cleaning

Grounds were lovely. Communal areas of good standard. Room was large and comfortable. Family run hotel which operates smoothly.

The odd large steel structure sitting derelict “attached” to the main hotel. It was a bit unsightly but did not ruin our stay.

Breakfast room and entrance hall looked nice.

The construction site attached to the side of the property has been abandoned for many years. The rear of the built is derelict. An overview of the hotel, it looks neglected and abandoned, needs a massive of money to sort it out

The building is beautiful, bedrooms are spacious and very well appointed. The bathroom had excellent fittings. The staff are kind polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good, fresh and well presented.

The management and staff were excellent and the Scottish breakfast OK. We had dinner on one evening and the food was OK. The room was fairly good although with designer washbasins which soak you if you turn on the taps too far.

The access for disabled guests is via the rear of the hotel when appears rather unkept and scruffy with an abandoned building site and overflowing waste bins. Not the best first impression.

Spacious rooms, good food , excellent bathroom facilities.

Windows needed a good clean.
