AmarAgua Guest house

Very charming guest house in Edinburgh, the decoration is very traditional and there is a lot of attention to details. We had a view on Arthur's seat from the bed which was lovely. The host was very kind and it was great to have breakfast before starting our day.

There is low pressure in the shower and the location isn't very central although it is extremely easy to go to the centre with the bus or a taxi (for less than 10£).

Our host was wonderfully helpful, from ensuring we parked in free parking areas to allowing us to use his EV car charging facilities for an extremely reasonable price. Clean & Comfortable room with good bathroom facilities. Lovely breakfast of help yourself fruit & cereal etc, plus cooked options. Amar Agua is on an easy bus route, although we enjoyed the walk into Edinburgh city. It is also close to Holyrood Park, so thankfully we also were able to walk to the park to go up to Arthur's Seat. The Holyrood Car park seemed full each time we passed.

No negatives

Not too far from the city centre, with convenient bus access. Kuan was highly accommodating of all our needs, and seemed to go above and beyond to ensure we, and all guests, were well taken care of. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I’m extremely satisfied with my experience and will definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The bedroom was extremely beautiful, clean comfortable and with good facilities.

My only small complaint was the organisation of breakfast, which should be a simple thing to handle at breakfast time, and not have the need to pre-order the day before. People need to have the option to decide how they feel in the morning, before deciding what food to eat. However the hotel itself was a lovely place

Juan was an amazing host, explained everything we needed to know about our stay as well as great tips for getting around. The beautiful breakfast served each morning in the dining room was delicious, and enjoying a fresh fruit salad every morning was a wonderful treat. Our room was comfortable, everything worked and despite being nearly full, we couldnt hear any of the other guests. So quiet! Theres a few shops at the end of the street, but 10 minute walk up the road was restaurants, supermarkets etc. And for those who love a walk, Edinburgh was only 30 - 40 minutes. Or jump on one of the buses that are super regular. Super easy to get around. The shower - on the small side and low water pressure, worked fine based on the instructions provided by Juan. About the same as many of our other stays in the UK. The stairs - maybe don't take your big suitcase, this is a traditional guesthouse in the most wonderful way, but of course this means stairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and highly recommend it.
