Roger Ground Guest House - with Onsite Car Parking

We had such a lovely stay at this property and would absolutely recommend it to others. From the moment we arrived, it felt warm, welcoming and incredibly cosy – a real home away from home. The space is beautifully set up and has a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to switch off and unwind. The bed was exceptionally comfy, which made for a great night’s sleep each evening. Everything was clean, well-presented and thoughtfully arranged, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. The location is another huge plus – it’s perfectly situated close to local amenities, shops and places to eat, making everything easily accessible without needing to travel far. It’s ideal whether you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing break or a convenient base to explore the area. Overall, a fantastic stay in a charming, cosy property – we would happily return.

Excellent communication with owner. Room was small but comfortable and TV had streaming services. Shower was good. Set in a quiet location away from the main road.

Martin was so friendly and made sure we checked in okay from the start. The room is cosy and had what we needed. So much to see and do around this area. We visited a little apple pie shop the pies and sausage rolls were delicious. The room was cosy and clean! We liked how it had a fridge to put drinks and things in was perfect for what we needed!!

The tv was a little small and parking could be tricky sometimes but not too bad. The heating comes on at set times but you can ask the hosts to put it on if needed we were out a lot of the day so not needed at much just a tiny bit chilly at night.

Had pretty much everything you need for a great stay. Host was very welcoming and accommodating. Cleanliness, presentation, etc. it ticks all the boxes. Easy check in and check out. Quiet place in a good location close to Windermere town centre. The bathroom was immaculate and I love the little amenities given.

No fan for hot sweaty people. I get that it's the colder season now, but you get the odd bunch that still have the fan on even during winter. All in all, there wasn't really anything much my partner and I disliked; but to hard nit pick, it would probably be the bed. It's too 'springy' to our liking but it really wasn't a big issue, just preference! We didn't expect the entrance to the studios to be so incredibly steep haha. It's not something the host can change easily but yeah. It's Lake District we're talking about. Incredibly hilly. Pretty much everything was great and had no problem.

The place was immaculately clean, even the wardrobe had a lovely scent 😊. Everything I needed was provided, from utensils to appliances like a toaster and microwave, plus hair dryers were available. The owner was super friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Location was perfect for exploring hiking trails.

Only thing was it got a bit chilly at night, but the little heater was a lifesaver - just turn it on and cozy up!
