Duchy House Bed and Breakfast

Nice property and breakfast.

Proprietor could be more aware that engaging guests in noisy conversation right outside the ground floor unit is quite unreasonable.

The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of options.

Breakfast was excellent. The full English breakfast included everything you would expect and a little bit more! Service was friendly, prompt and professional. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would stay there again.

Parking was a little bit tight for a larger car.

Great location in Princetown. Car parking at the B&B. Breakfast was very good with a variety of options. The bed was comfortable. Even though our room was at the front of the building, it was quiet at night. We didn't use them, but there was an option to rent bikes. Hosts were very friendly.

Our room itself was quite small. The bed was very comfortable, but it was a tight fit. Thankfully, we had a small separate area where we could keep our bags. We did see a few other rooms, and those rooms were all larger, so perhaps we had the smallest room. It would have been nice if the time allotted for breakfast was longer than 1 hour. We didn't have the best weather, so it didn't really affect us on this stay, but we thought that it might.

A warm reception greets you at Duchy House. The rooms are beautifully appointed, bathroom spotlessly clean and the breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. Would definitely stay here again. The b and b is well situated for wonderful walks around Dartmoor and close to a couple of good pubs with home cooked food.

Nothing to dislike it was great all round.
