Very clean and good location

Minimal effort made to make guests comfortable. No coffee or tea in rooms, had to fetch it yourself and absolute basics - no complimentary biscuit even. Plastic instead of glass - very wasteful and not good to drink out of, especially if you’d brought a drink to have in your room. No info at all about Whitby or places to eat. It was very clean and that was great, but apart from that, really felt the owners couldn’t be bothered. Finally - the kettle was in a precarious position on a high fireplace shelf - not a safe place for boiling water. There was plenty of room to put a small table to make drinks in.

The owners were very friendly and informative about the local area. we were travelling with my elderly mother and gave us choice of rooms to meet her needs . Rooms were very clean , facilities within the rooms good and very comfortable beds .Area quiet and easy reach , walk to the town . Had tea and coffee available for the rooms to help yourself .

I felt bad using a hand towel for the floor in the en-suite maybe a floor towel could be provided ? Parking could be tricky even though we had a permit but you can double park to drop off and then park a bit further away .

Lovely stay, bed really comfortable. The location is perfect, just a few minutes stroll into town. Hosts friendly & informative.
