Villa Nova

Be8ng at a gurst house that was unmqnned 3xcept for a cleaner was a new concept for me. However once I got accustomed to it I was fine. A 10 minute walk into St. Helier was easy to manage.

The room I was allocated was supposed to have a courtyard vie2, when it actually overlooked a flat roof. The level of cleanliness wasn't brilliant - there was hair in the sink plughole. Also the toilet bowl had a crqck in it, as did the sink. If I had been there in holiday I would have been disappointed, but it suited my purpose on this occasion.

No meals were included - which was fine there were enough shops and eating places nearby and I'd realised this would be the case before I traveled. My room included everything I needed for the stay. I'm unable to rate St Aubin's beach, because my stay involved walking the 48 mile trail around Jersey, so I'm struggling to remember a particular beach. The April weather was good and ideal for walking - compared to the rest of the UK that week.

I saw no staff whilst I was there (it didn't operate like that), apart from the odd sighting of a cleaner down the corridor. This wasn't an issue, but explains why I couldn't really rate the staff. The room was generally clean, but unfortunately there was some 'gunk' visible just beneath the wash-basin's plug hole and in one sector of it. I did point this out, in a written note, on the day I left the "do not disturb" sign off when I was out during the day. However nothing was done about it and although I'd left instructions that my towels and bedding didn't need to be changed - they were. The only reason I'd wanted someone in the room that day was to top up the tea-bags and UHT milk supplies. Fortunately this was dealt with and I decided by sticking to only one morning cup of tea there'd be no need for a cleaner (and more towels) to come in again during my week's stay.

Clean, good value everything was as expected and a good price.

Parking not guaranteed. We were able to park throughout stay at property. However this may not be possible in high season. Nearby places to park though.

Guest house calme. Vue sur le parc. Chambre simple mais confortable. Proche du centre de St Helier. Pas cher.
