Glorious BnB Longbridge

The property was good for a night and comfortable beds. Had everything we needed for the night.

The toilets were very small and hard to get around but it was good for the night just to sleep and shower.

Bed was comfortable.

It was in a quiet location

It did not look like the pictures. We booked the family room as we like a bit of space but when we got there the room was very small, compact, tiny bathroom. The cups were dirty, my partner lifted the cup to make a drink and the cup was stuck to the saucer… there were no curtains in the room so we were up with the sun. The bed was uncomfortable rock hard and so were the pillows. The view from our window was unsightly, there was a driveway for one car so it was first come first served but next to the driveway there was rubbish, wood, bricks laying around. Shame really.

No heating on the bedroom, small radiator in en-suite. En-suite really tiny, tiny washbasin, light cord really short and inside the shower, it took me some time to find it. I had a good stay, I just feel that review readers need to know.

Location was good, but that's about it really as I didn't end up staying overnight.

Firstly, someone inside the property had to help me through the door as the handle was stuck on the inside and I couldn't get in. The room wasn't particularly clean and had a strange smell to it. On the website, it does state you have your own bathoom, but located at the opposite end of the first floor to the room, it didn't feel like it was your own as it could be used by anybody. I didn't stay the night as I wanted a restful sleep, but there was a family in the room next to mine and as the walls are very thin, it felt like they were in my room. There was a little girl who was quite evidently playing up, and after about 40 minutes, I gave up, jumped onto the booking.com website and found somewhere else a few miles away. I guess my expectations were too high. This isn't a hotel nor a B&B but felt like a hostel. Out of courtesy, I messaged the owner to let him know I had locked up the place and put the key back in the safe. He rang back to say he would have moved me upstairs, but there was so much noise from that room, I don't honestly think it would have made a difference.

Easy instructions for key location, tea and coffee supply in room.

Front door difficult to unlock, ensuite bathroom extremely small. Door direct to room was standard interior door, lockable but not a solid door. Room adequate size for one night stay but additional furniture in room not required and taking up valuable space and no bed side tables.
