The Red Lion Stevington

Very comfortable and well appointed room with immaculate linens and bathroom. Better lighting would have been useful but for the short time we were there it didn't really matter. The breakfast was very adequate and we were grateful it was available as we thought it to be a Room Only booking, so thank you!

We used our satnav to guide us to the Red Lion. Unfortunately, we and the satnav didn't realise the entrance was to the side of the property - the other side to the car park. Hence we assumed, wrongly, that our room was in a separate building. However the lady we phoned for advice advised us where we should have been. Unfortunately once at the correct door, there was a quite steep staircase and having mobility problems would have difficulty climbing up. The lady was very kind and allowed us to remain in the first room we encountered on the ground floor of the separate building.

It was very clean and having snack in the room was great especially as I didn't realise it was in a remote village

The lighting outside the property wasn't the best needed to you my phone torch but that did remedy the issue

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Lion last weekend. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Stevington is such a lovely, peaceful village in Bedfordshire, tucked away from the hustle and bustle but still easily accessible from Bedford, Northampton, and Milton Keynes. It’s a perfect location for a quiet getaway. We would definitely return in the future. Highly recommend!

It’s a bit of a shame that the restaurant offering has closed, as it would’ve been the cherry on top, but everything else about our stay was excellent.

Beautiful rooms, all decorated tastefully. Spotlessly clean. We had a mini fridge with soft drinks and water supplied, also breakfast items available in the room. The housekeeping ladies were lovely and very friendly 😊

There wasn't anything

Great quality of accommodation, luckily managed to speak with the house keeper who gave us clears instructions how to gain access she was very helpful and left milk for us.

Communication was poor had to chase a few times and finally we received a call from the house keeper who in the absence of the office staff was brilliant at sorting our questions.

Lovely mildly themed room with comfortable furnishings and in a beautiful quiet village
