The Red Lion Stevington

Brilliant self check in so no messing around. Very clean and tidy and lots of snacks and drinks left including porridge yogurts fresh orange etc. Toiletries including shampoo and conditioner also left to use.

Quiet location but not a negative as it didn’t matter to us as we were going to Silverstone anyway.

Extremely clean, continental breakfast nice touch.

A lovely boutique room with more than 'just a room' clean and fresh, with the little extras, beverages, biscuits, and a light breakfast was greatly appreciated, great location with free parking.

The entrance at the front needs tidying and made safer, plus better lighting. 2 lights wouldn't work in our room but as the weather was good wasn't a great inconvenience.

Wonderful room - lovely touch of something small for breakfast. Comfortable and very clean

Another fan would have been welcome so we could have had one in the children’s bunk room and the other in the main room.

The lock and key was very stiff to the room.

We liked the decor, the size of the room and clean it was.

It was clearly stated on my booking that there was 2 adults attending, we were left with only one towel so had to share this. One mug and one glass! The shower head needs replacing or at the very least descaling as it sprayed everywhere when trying to get into the shower. The green lights in the room and bathroom were quite bright. I assume these were to point for an exit, but it was too bright (and not needed). As the restaurant isn’t there anymore, some complementary biscuits would have been much more appreciated than the porridge and muffin in the fridge which wasn’t touched. The orange juice and bottle of water was a lovely touch but again only one and not two. It was quite a lot of money to stay for one night with no breakfast included. The bed was lovely.

Clean and tidy

We could t find second room that booked- my partner called the numbers no answer. We had to squash into one room as no keys in doors etc. the hideout we paid for did not use. The entrance was dark no lights the hedge very overgrown we had to squash past hedges with our wedding outfit on !! We were very upset no one earlier in day picked up our call to help find the other room booked and paid for. The entrance wasn’t great the stairs were very steep not good for my mother who was in her 70s. Over all would never stay here again terrible that we could not get to our room and no one answered my mother was in distress. Would not recommend this accommodation - in fact would require a refund to room not used called the hideout. Was ridiculous.

It was very difficult to find the room. Fortunately we parked there in daylight and looked for the lockbox before we went to the wedding we were going to. Had we not done so we would have struggled. A sign to the room would have been helpful, particularly because there is another accommodation block with lock box right by the door of The Red Lion.

All good apart from difficult to find entrance
