The Lighthouse

The location for Longleat is good, Ferdinand was professional and helpful, the bed was comfortable.

We were left feeling distinctly underwhelmed. We were given a room boxed between a car park, a road, the laundry room and the kitchen (which was accessed twice during our stay, despite being reassured this wouldn’t happen). The room got ridiculously hot, more than the 2 fans we were issued with could cope with. So we had no other choice but to sleep with the door completely open. Hardly safe, very noisy. And particularly given the open drain just behind the wall outside, getting bitten by as many mosquitos as you could imagine. We stayed 3 nights. The breakfast on the final morning was good (third time lucky) but was chaotic otherwise. The bedroom was cleaned every morning but the bathroom (with all the dead mosquitoes lying in various places) was not. The shower hose also had a leak in it, reducing the pressure of the water coming out.

Great location, family friendly, comfy beds, the staff went above and beyond so welcoming!

Only thing that let it down was it was soo hot, could of done with an extra fan (there was 1 in the room which my son used)
