Bed only with coffee machine in room as booked . Very large nicely decorated / furnished room with amazing garden and cathedral views . As part of the precincts it is a fabulous location and a beautiful building . Close to the town centre and with easy parking outside Pre arrival communication was excellent with clear information about location, parking and access Four of us stayed and were most impressed . Excellent value for money . Will hopefully return .

Amazing location, and our room was really comfortable - beautiful bedlinen, very comfortable bed, and good strong shower.

We had arrived on foot, after a 15 mile walk: it was annoying that check in was strictly enforced at 3pm (the keypad would not work until then), when the property was clean and ready long before then. We had a cold wait to get in which we could have done without.

Superb location overlooking cathedral and palace gardens right in central Chichester

Telly doesn't work unless you login to everything very boring and badly thought through.no fridge a tiny one would make a huge difference would not stay here in summer.

The amazing location within the cathedral precincts plus free parking make up for the unfortunate changes that have occurred here over the last decade. (see below)

...these include no breakfast on site and toiletries limited to a squeezy bottle of liquid soap. All the old interesting furniture is gone, now akin to IKEA, and the colour scheme which had fitted this lovely old building has been replaced by characterless dentist's waiting room light grey throughout.

Parking was easy (and free!) right next door to the accommodation. Keyless entry was fantastic and worked flawlessly. Room was much larger than anticipated with a great garden view. Perfect location, super quiet, really comfy bed, coffee and biscuits replaced daily alongside lovely clean room and didn’t ever notice the room being cleaned, like magic! So nice to wander into town through the cathedral grounds.

Wi-fi was under 1 megabyte in room (room 4) so Tv and/or devices kept cutting out or wouldn’t connect. Could get 5G/4G on phone network though.

The location was superb and the dual aspect bedroom had fantastic views of the cathedral and Bishop's garden. Very characterful, convenient and quiet.

The pillows were a bit too firm and the mattress not quite as firm as I like.

I love staying at 4 Canon Lane. This was a repeat visit and when visiting Chichester I always try Canon Lane first. Firstly, you're right in the centre of the city, next door neighbour to the cathedral! The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable and I like the ease of the keypad entry. There's always a good parking space available and that's included in the rate. Breakfast isn't included, but you're right in the centre of Chichester! A few paces and you have plenty of places to choose from including the cathedral café. Highly recommended as a place to stay.
