Sunnyside Guest House

Our room was lovely and clean with everything we needed and more for our stay. Loved that the room was dark at night, the beds were comfortable, and it was quiet, which made for good nights sleep. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was fabulous, we would definitely stay again, highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at the Sunnyside Guest House. Paul and Nicky are super friendly and helpful. Our room was really clean and comfortable, great facilities available, tea, coffee, biscuits and lovely quality shampoos etc. Fantastic breakfast, lots of choice and delicious. We ordered a packed lunch for a day trip out which was great. Great location within walking distance of the town centre and parking available at the property. We will definitely return next time we are in the Lake District.

Breakfast was fantastic. Hosts were so helpful. Guest lounge was exceptional, always stocked with yummy cake!

The town is very quiet, and room is very warm. During my stay, I suddenly fell ill. Even though my mother and aunt could not speak English, the hosts were very kind and helped us, which made us very moved and grateful. Mum and auntie said it was the best place to travel in England. What's more, very good breakfast!

Great location, great facilities, one of very few places I've stayed with a lounge for guests with coffee and cake available. Hosts were very friendly, took an interest and nothing was a problem. Plenty of breakfast options too.

everything! Paul and Nicky were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The guest house was really clean and decorated really prettily, our room was very clean and comfortable, there were also plenty of things to do in the lounge (homemade cakes were delicious, there was a range of teas as well!!) Breakfast and dinner were prepared by Paul in the house and they were so good! We were constantly amazed at how pretty and organised everything was, down to every smallest detail. We had an amazing stay! We felt so at home, thank you so much to the hosts!
