Friendly welcome and flexibility with check in and checkout times, enabling us to really make the most of our time in Filey. The room was well planned and decorations were of a high standard and complimentary water tea and coffee available in our room. Yorkshire breakfast served with generous helpings and mostly well cooked but bacon and black pudding were hard (overcooked). We were also surprised to be served an unexpected breakfast ‘starter’ which was very nice. Wish we’d had more room for the American pancakes!!

We would have very much appreciated being served freshly filtered coffee(which we’d asked about) instead of instant coffee, especially as we noticed another guest had a cafetière by arrangement. The wooden corners on the bed made access to the en-suite and other areas difficult. We hurt our knees on them. Perhaps some padding would be helpful?

Everything about the stay was excellent - the room was bright and clean, the breakfast had excellent choice and was good quality, the hosts were welcoming and friendly - nothing was too much trouble.

Good breakfast. Limited choice but well cooked and presented. Convenient location with parking.

More choice of breakfast such as cereal or continental.
