Great location, the view of the living room is breathtaking and there is coffee/tea for free. The host made sure that we have towels and other amenities in our room. The room had also a private bathroom and there was hot water 24/7 which was very important for us because it was too cold.

All things considered, though this place can't really be described as a guesthouse (it's more like you're rooming in a family home when the family don't particularly want you there), it offers undeniably excellent value for money. If there isn't any better accommodation available, you could do a lot worse than this. Spacious room, bathroom with hot water, power outlets, reasonable location, excellent view from the common area - it provides everything that's required to relax after the hikes around Kazbegi. It was also very nice of the 'guesthouse' matron to allow me and my friends to do laundry at short notice.

Awful, awful welcome. There's no reception/check-in area to speak of, so we spent a while trying to locate the correct entrance only to be greeted with a booming "NO!" from the irritable older woman who maintains the guest rooms. She abruptly turned my friends (who were looking for a room) away, and directed me into my space with neither introduction nor explanation before gruffly demanding money. I imagine there was a lot lost in translation - this is not a great place for non-Georgian speakers - but her manner was nonetheless disarmingly harsh. I was eventually put on the phone with the guesthouse owner who was very cordial and understanding, and things generally improved thereafter. I'd still point out that the WiFi speed was often very poor, the shower head holder was broken, and there were hairs (not mine) all over the bathroom floor and toilet.

Silent place....very very good place .
