The Engine Shed

Was all very clean, comfy beds and everything you needed was there. Was especially useful to have the tea, coffee (normal and decaf), some biscuits and the milk in the fridge for us in the morning. The outside space was really nice and well looked after. It was a shame it rained in the morning, so we were not able to have our hot drinks there. Perhaps next time! We did not meet Anna and Nick, but they were available via messages to confirm we could use the parking in front of the house once there. Thank you!

The proximity to the station and the noise in the morning. However we were aware from location and reviews, so we didn't have particular issues with this. I had also carried with me some ear plugs in case I needed them. But honestly we didn't need to use them.

Easy self check in. Parking available. Private accommodation. Peaceful night. Good shower. Fridge available. Fresh milk.

The location and the room was great

It was nice and comfortable

Location was good apart from frequency of trains in the evening (up to midnight) and starting again before 7 am. The room was private and had a fridge. Good location for a railway enthusiast.

Hot water was intermittent especially in the shower. The trains were more frequent and intrusive than we had expected.

Perfect for me and my granddaughter. Owners could not be more helpful and kind.

Nicely equipped detached property. Very clean. You could tell the owners had thought through visitor’s needs with milk in the fridge and biscuits etc . Owners were very accommodating. Car parking is easy and nice pub just down a quiet road.

Bookers should be aware that the property is called the Engine Shed for a reason. It is very close to a railway line. This did not bother us at all as we both grew up in properties near railway lines. Shower did not keep a constant temperature but as neither extremes were too uncomfortable you might describe it as bracing!

Great location for stop over on our way to south west Cornwall, so close to M5, close to good pub, great nights sleep, perfect easy accomodation, all good.

Clean, very comfortable, everything I needed for an overnight stay. Good shower. TV, and radio, fridge. Milk tea coffee and biscuits. The trains were not a problem and didn't run through the night. Good parking.. Good communication from owners. Nice garden area to sit in. Near supermarket and pub.

From the initial booking to arrival, the owners have been perfect with information on what to do on arrival and where to park etc Had tea/coffee with some milk so could have a hot drink after a long drive. Even after we arrived they called to see if anything was wrong or did we need any other help. Perfect location for what we needed and close proximity to the M5 made it ideal. A few minutes walk to a lovely village pub, which served reasonably priced food and drink to unwind after a day running around after young kids 🤣 The room was perfectly sized and nice shower and bathroom. Kettle and a draw in the desk with hairdryer in. Comfortable single beds so slept really well.

The accommodation is in a great location ,room is clean and very tidy , perfect location to see the trains.

Weather was really hot so maybe could of done with a fan .
